If you do any presentations, you probably could use this nifty program called ZoomIt. This program zooms into a certain part of any screen and it allows you to draw on your screen. By being able focus on the area of the presentation slide without pointing it with your laser pointer or using your hands, it helps the audience to focus on your presentation. Also by being able to draw on the screen, it makes the presentation a little more dynamic and interesting than still slides.
The program ZoomIt, is a free program that is around 44KB in size. It allows you to do zoom in and out of your screen with the mouse wheel and it is quite easy to use. ![]()
Once you unzip it, just double click on the program and it should run in the background. The default to turn on the zoom feature is 'Ctrl+1'. You can zoom into anything on the screen, not just a presentation slide. For example, I am describing a website or doing a meeting and would like to discuss what to do or how to edit it.
I'd launch the website in Firefox and it should look something like this: ![]()
I tap 'Ctrl+1' and it will zoom into a certain area like this:
![]()
When I click on the right mouse button, it will allow me to draw on the screen. If I click left mouse button, it will exit zoom. If I scroll in and out with the mouse wheel, it will zoom in and out. This is how it looks like if I draw on the zoomed screen

It is just that easy! It is, lightweight and free to use. This is much better than using a laser pointer or pointing at the screen with a stick or your finger. It also helps the audience pay attention to your presentation if you keep it dynamic and flowing.
